About Northern Light

Saturday, January 25, 2025
7pm | Old Thompson Barn

An intimate evening of Nordic music featuring the traditional Swedish instrument Nyckelharpa.

Let the magic of Nordic music and tales help usher in the light of lengthening days. Featuring the Swedish traditional instrument nyckelharpa interwoven with the delightful tradition of twin fiddles, Sandra and MinTze will take you on a journey of music ancient and new from the Nordic lands.

This beautiful and intimate program invites you into an enchanted world rooted in folktales. We'll meander from the oldest known melody from Söllerön, an old Viking village, to contemporary music written by Väsen, as well as original compositions by our featured artist, Sandra Wong, and much more.

Expect melodies and sounds both familiar and new to nurture your heart and soul in the dark of winter. This is a rare opportunity to take a deep dive into one of Sandra's passions and MinTze's fascinations, with lilting narration from Camille, exploring the music and stories of Scandinavia.

Please make two separate transactions if you are purchasing both adult and child tickets.
